I have wondered myself too...

Anyone done any standard lsd against quaife tests? interested to know the difference

Both of it have + and -.

Limited slip differential - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Quaife have one big -. If the one tyre is off (ice, in the air,...) doesn't work any more. And that you can feel under hard driving. Sometimes it's works like normal(open) one in extrem condition when one tyre is a little on the "air".

The clutch one doesn't have that issue. But it's works all the time (even when you drive slow). I think for racing is better the clutch one.
I have one phantom grip here on my desk if anyone need it.

Guessin then that the OEM will just lose its effectiveness over time, where the Quiafe won't.
