Hi there,

I'm chasing an Australian source for polyurethane bushes. Specifically looking for a set of engine and gearbox mount bushes.

I've checked a couple of UK suppliers, but sorry, I'm not paying 100 pounds for freight.

I deal with UK companies for bike parts and their freight charges are very realistic. Perhaps there is a MINI parts supplier that also has reasonable freight rates.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Ring Peak performance in Sydney on 02 96835577. Ask to speak to Nick Peek or David Atkin. They will be able to sort you out

How much would these bushes weigh, surely a UK supplier could simply post them for bugger all (well, compared to 100 quid freight)?

If Peak can't help you I wonder if Whiteline may be able to???

I e-mailed Peak and got no reply.

In the meantime, Powerflex UK put me in touch with MRTrally (MRT Performance - Subaru and Mitsubishi specialists) who have been very helpful. Although they appear to be Subaru specialists, they are also the Australian distributor of Powerflex bushes and the quote they gave on a set of engine/gearbox mount bushes was very reasonable.

Just about to order from them, I'll post more news if necessary.

BTW, they also appear to do Whiteline stuff.

Brett Middleton who owns MRT rallied a Subi in the ARC for years. I have dealt with him plenty of times as have most Subi owners. He also has a very neat hub dyno. He is usually comparitively very expensive though.
