![]() Obsessive Car Cleaner OCC | Low Power Output? Hey Guys. I was recently at the RR Shoot out at 1320's and while im happy with how my car drives im still left with the thought that from the Mods that i have im a little under powered. It came out at 210BHP and 179WHP, Previously i had 217BHP and they only thing changed was the Alta CAI to M7 AGS. I currently have GTT Intercooler & Snoot Boots Alta 15% S/C Pulley Alta 2% larger Crank Pulley M7 Air Gain System Janspeed Manifold JCW Exhaust JCW Remap NGK Plugs GTT Oil Catch Can Optimised Bypass Valve With these Mods id be expecting anything around 230BHP. I am happy with the car but when you have spent money on your car expecting something more its a little anoying. If Damo doesnt mind illpost his spec... 17% Alta V2 Pulley GRS Intercooler Alta CAI NGK Iridium Spark Plugs JCW 380cc Injectors Play MINI Cat Back Standard Manifold And that pulled out ... 238.3 Flywheel and 207 WHP Whats your Thoughts? Scott |

Offline | Sound is a wonderfull thing, making more hp and trq is something else. Welcome to the world off R&D, I think that the others who purchased the M7AGS V1 V2 V3 probably found similar results otherwise this product would be sold today. If you look at Jans GP not only does the stock intake tube have pull in enough air for one of his heads it also has to deal with providing enough for a 2L as well, though this only relative to what rpm you're spinning the 2L or the 1.6 to. Remember to only change one thing at a time otherwise you'll loose the rabbit. Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02 It's not how much you spend but how well you spend it |

Offline | I would expect yours to be at 230bhp too. Did you have a compression test and leakdown test done? This could highlight any loss in power. I was at 1320 a few weeks before the shootout and pulled 225bhp my spec is: JCW remap JCW cat back 380cc injectors NGK BKR 7EQUP plugs 15% pulley GP intercooler JCW air intake Also found out that my front wishbone bushes had gone as well which made it difficult to get a reading on the dyno. ![]() Obsessive Car Cleaner OCC | Alreet James. I havent but i may go back this saturday if paul has time as instead of paying £120 in Petrol to go home for the weekend i may go and give paul that money to sort it out! Im gunna fit the Standard Airbox this week sometime and then if i do go back then we'l see what the dyno says. Then if i sell the M7 thingy That could be another bit of cash for Paul. Paul can you fit me on Sat? ![]() |

Offline | Its worth while doing as it settles your mind. Im glad I had mine done as I am in the process of trying to get the dealer to fit new rings to my engine!! Having read up on the compression test the operating window is quite large lower limit is 131psi and the upper limit is 196psi. So anywhere in this range the dealer would be happy with, but the key point is that maximum difference between cylinders is 7psi (0.5bar). So mine were all 150psi apart from cylinder 2 which was 135psi so a difference of 15psi!! Hope you get sorted Scott. Regards James P.S what did your boost pressure max out at? Could be s/c belt slipping |

Offline | If you do go back on 1320 rolling road get Paul to plug the laptop in so that you can monitor the boost pressure on that as it will be more accurate, but at least you have an indication with your gauge that you are not boosting to what you have seen before. |

Offline | I would think it could have something to do with the wet road as when the wheels begin to spin the load it removed slightly so the rpm rises a lot quicker and maybe the boost pressure peaks slightly higher, but I am not sure at all thats just my thoughts. Maybe someone else may be able to comment on this Regards James |

Offline | Wow that is low, but as you say you have to bench mark it against other S's on that dyno. I presume they dont have any data from other S's? Its one of two things, you went on a heartbreaker of a dyno or there is something wrong, where abouts in the country are you?
