Hi,

I have a 2003 MCS and i have noticed that when the engine has reached its optimum temp, half way across the scale and it is idiling when sat at the lights etc i have noticed a knocking rattling sound coming from the engine!
When i press the clutch in the noise stops and when i release the clutch it starts again.

I cannot detect the noise when driving normally.

Anyone got ant ideas??? Is there a problem or is it normal???

Hi...
think it could be your release bearing.... if your MINI still under motorplan then you should give your BMW dealership a call to book it in.

I have this noise, my clutch release bearing is away. Im just to lazy to change it as of yet

My car is out of warranty but is still covered by the tlc package is that motor plan? will it be covered, i prob guess not!!!
