Miltek Cat-Back - invalidate warranty?

Hello MINI2ers,

Help and advice needed. I have an April 06 PW MCS and am very keen to get a Miltek cat-back, however I don't want to invalidate my warranty - will this affect it, or will it merely void any claims against exhausts?

Thanks for your help

Jay

put it this way, if your oem exhaust has a hole in it the dealer would not be interested either
my dealer just gave me 28k service with Milly cat back and all ok
manifolds and de-cat might be slightly more problematic if you start getting a lot of emission codes, but cat back should be fine

Alski - that makes sense, you just know what the dealerships are like, they'll do anything to get out of doing work!!

I think I'm going for a Milltek then... any advice on which one to get (are there different types), or who to buy/get it fitted from??

I think you missed out the word "know" in your post Hugo, but I think I know what you mean

Hmmm... think I should call the dealership on Monday and see what they think. I'll say my exhaust has rusted off, I surely cannot be obliged to buy OEM for a 'wear and tear' item. That would be the same as them saying that Halfords wipers will void my warranty... hehe.
