Installing Pipecross Viper in a late Cooper/One

Hi

I just bought a second-hand Pipercross Viper from a chap on the forum but it seems the mounting kit supplied with the filter is not compatible with the later design of gearbox mount I have (2006 R50).

Even the Pipercross site states that it is a kit for 01-onwards.

Has anyone figured out an effective way of securing the body of the Viper so that it is not just held in place by the standard intake snorkel? Photos would be much appreciated as well.

Cheers!

What new bits? I didn't buy any new bits...

After being inundated with advice and recommendations I have managed to adapt the two standard brackets to fit on another part of the engine bay, using a bolt hole originally used to hold the standard airbox in place. The filter is now held nice and securely without too much contorting of the intake hose.

Gotta say it now looks the business!
