Offline | 380cc Injectors & JCW/M Intake... nice difference!! Was at 1320autos yesterday where Paul kindly fitted my 380cc JCW injectors and JCW "de-flapped" airbox with ITG filter. Brilliant drive up and back, decided to take the A roads which is a 140 mile round trip. Can't fault the service, Paul's an honest straight up guy... very rare to see that from any garage these days .Not expecting too much from this change as it was mainly for sound (still waiting on the JCW exhaust) and safety I was pleasantly surprised. The throttle response was much, much better as pinning the throttle in any gear really felt like it picked up better than before. I was trying very hard to offset the placebo effect caused by the noise (more on that in a mo) by cranking up the music and it really felt stronger, to the point where I was laughing out loud... the laughing was probably more because of the noise.... .... holy crumpets batman!!!! Not only does it scream louder it takes a huge gulp of air before it does... then screams louder than ever and gasp as you lift off the throttle like a quiet dump valve-ish sound. I'm sure those who have a CAI no what I'm talking about.... it sounds mental, absolutely flipping mental.... never mind air going in the bonnet scoop there should be foam dribbling out of it like a rabid animal lol!!! ![]() So yes... I'm really chuffed with these two mods. Should have a JCW exhaust to go with soon, wanted to have more noise but not wake the dead while I'm at it Speaking of waking the dead.... remember the top gear episode with the Aston V8 that you could hear from 2 miles away?? Well i reckon Pauls would give it a very good run for its money at the moment, it sounds like the god of thunder gargling with wasps!!! Awesome! Last edited by batou : Jun 19th, 2008 at 09:09 AM. Reason: added "JCW/M Intake" to title to help search criteria |

He must have been miles away and all I could hear was a really deep buuuuuuuuuurrrrr pop pop pop...... buuuuuuuuuuurr pop pop pop.... then as it got closer I could finally hear the charger whine LOL! One thing I found, when I had the plugs fitted at minispeed along with the pulley they fitted BKR7EVX instead of BKR7EIX, are those not iridiums? ![]() If I had to describe the sound the CAI now makes in a picture this is it.... It sounds pure evil! |
