Offline | Difference in JCW head vs OEM head Could anyone tell me the differences between the OEM head and JCW head? My understanding is that just the exhaust port is modified, is this correct? James |

Offline | yep and not by much...think about it, 380cc injectors, pully, upgraded ecu, air box...all this would be giving a lot more than 210 if the head was any good or to put another way if your offered one foc i doubt if the gain would be worth the fitting cost ![]() carefree |

| MINI2 Regular | Not sure that it isn't any good., depends on what you are doing with the car. I have std injectors, std ecu ?, (pre facelift JCW). GTT CAI, Manifold and intercooler and it puts out 233 (thats on 11% pulley remember).Plus its better fuel consumption than std. The point I'm making is that you have to allow the head to breathe for it to become effective. When I first got the car it was bog std JCW and it felt strangled above 5000rpm. Allowing it to breathe better has transformed it .However for the money there are far better head options than JCW. Thats the killer with a head - the fitting cost, and you also have to factor in the removal cost if you are planning to return to stock to sell on later. |

Offline | Its very basically flowed from what I know but certainly not an investment id advise. If you are spending the money to fit one then pay a little extra and get a big valve head instead ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | http://www.mini2.com/forum/engine-dr...ml#post3382730 that should work.. The RMW head should be renamed the Borg head - as resistance is futile ![]() I need to sort suspension first as I can't get all the power down on bumpy b roads - maybe that's too much to ask though ? |
