Just out of interest Paul, what kind of price range are you looking at for a duplicate engine of big shows, 280bhp. Including all parts and labour etc.

A minimum and maximum price?

I new I shouldn't of said anything, it was quite a popular one and was proberly I'm sure was just a one off but it killed the power off his Mini, as it went on another car and done exactly the same to that one.

This is why dynoing your car is important, just to make sure you're getting what you should be irrespective of make of pulley intercooler cat back air filter etc etc.

As Big Show stated the other day he went from 218 to 239, but he could of stayed at 218 quite happly.

I suppose I do enjoy problem cars because I want to find the answer, more of a challange than just bolting stuff on and getting what it should be. Does that make sense?

B004 Lee GTT300T c/w Miltek cat back....................391bhp proven on independant RR.Also proved the best in our back pressure tests.
Are we defending because we stock it?No ,we dont even normally carry it, Lohen are doing a GB on it and I'll still recommend it over others.

Like Paul said he's sure was just a one off anyway besides won't back pressures be different on the turbo car or am I talking rollocks? I nearly went miltek but personally, it's too loud, I prefer stealth and less drone than stock on motorways (JCW)

back pressure varies depending on HP so at an assumption youd think yes but then similar to a 280bhp SC MCS will be nearly as high. Its all relate and at the end of the day back pressure is going to be much higher before the cat.

Or was this decat and the exhaust was too free flowing?

Mine will shortly be custom mapped by RMW with the Milltek in place and then dyno'd. 1320 will then put the stock MCS system on and chuck it straight back on the dyno to see what gains/losses the stock system gives over the Milltek. Reason... the car we think might be too loud for Bedford now the head's been done.

So that should put the Milltek gains/losses argument to bed.

What the feck,

You some sort of pansy or something, Founder of Mini Tunnel Run decides to dump exhaust as too Loud! I suggest you get it put on a quick release connector to enable change over for runs.

Or just go buy the new OMP Grp N rally exhaust for the Cooper S. 100db's ohhh yeah!!!!!!!!!

Great stats, one question Generally, why is there such a huge difference between the torque and BHP, does having an s/c not benefit torque like a turbo?

There was me expecting it to be the Play MINI Especially as its nearly as bad as the JCW in rolands back pressure tests.

I only got mine to change the tips (Couldn't argue with £100)...would be intresting to know if I'm losing any power with it though.
