I would say so. The cat is restrictive so with removing it the fumes could flow better.

There is someone one of my friends knows, he has a yaris t sport with a full exhaust system including manifold. His cat is in at the moment for the MOT but when it is removed it will make a difference of 10hp. So that is quite a difference.

It's not how much you spend but how well you spend it

If you MOT a car with the cat then run it without the cat is the car road legal, insured etc? Just a question as although it's unlikely I may have to have a decat for a short while while waiting for a cat (less than a week lol)...

More than likely, if you try to MOT a car with decat it will fail on emissions.

I dont know about the insurance.

plus your engine was designed around running a cat.

Sports cat all the way, plus with road side testing being more common, theres more chance of being done for it. Remember De-cat is illegal for road use.
