Mini one slight tune

Hi i wonder if i could get a couple of peoples views on what make of induction kit i should put on my mini one and also some good spark plugs.
My plan is to get a bluefin chip and then also these items above, however i am not sure what to get.
I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount on the induction kit or spark plugs, however any suggestions i would be grateful for.

The best on the market for your car is the pipercross viper inducton kit, but its alot of money. so if your on a budget then get the normal pipercross induction kit which is the next best thing with a cold air feed to it from the front of the car!

For sound, you can't really beat the John Cooper Motorsport Open Cone Air Induction Kit (JCM510). Do a search for Serby and he's got a few videos kicking around. After watching his videos many many times over, I bought a kit myself and have it fitted onto my car now.

I managed to get hold of a new one for about £150 (inc VAT) + shipping.

All the best,
Andrew.

The JCW motorsport one is so similar to the normal Pipercross induction kit, its un canny! lol, but the pipercross is a cheaper.

A foam filter like the JCW or the pipercross is the best way to go rather than the old cotton filter.

Let us know how you get on though mate!

Actually, it arrives in a Pipercross boss with 'Pipercross' written all over the filter - so no doubt the actual foam bit is the same material.

The difference is in how the kit is mounted. The Pipercross kit comes on a long hose with undulations in it that disturb the air flow (from what I've seen in pictures) - whilst the JCM kit has a rubber attachment that's smooth on the inside and provides a shorter connection between throttle body and cone filter.

The differences are subtle, but I think the smooth inside to the connectors and close proximity to the throttle body in the JCM kit would make air intake smoother and the induction sounds louder.

Though do correct me if I'm mistaken.

All the best,
Andrew.
