| MINI2 Master | The nurburgring VXR really 257bhp/ blimey, thats the one i made look silly on my journey up to newcastle. Although he was 3 up i'll give him that. The new 888 pack for the Astra is 290 bhp! Anyway, back to numbers, i don;t think anyone should be putting numbers after their name unless its backed up on a RR. So call me Ant FR260 (certified) from now on thanks Oh and my sarcasm is due to me being in a bad mood. Should have been driving to the Nurburgring right now but the Germans decided to cancel tomorrows all day tourist sessions. So yesterday after some mad phoning round managed to get it all rebooked to this weekend, go saturday back monday night and even managed to get three rooms booked at Ringhaus!! |

Offline | Aye, that is true. Sometimes more power is like using a sledgehammer to crack a nut; it does the job, but you end up with your nuts all over the place. I would rather be a better driver with less power and keep my nuts exactly where they should be. I think I have had too much caffeine this morning ![]() |

| The Power Cube | OK people, step back, clam down. Why use octane booster - because that is what I will be using on the track, so that is what I will use on the RR. Road driving is not the same as track driving, although people like to think it is. I hope I am a good driver, I am not making my car go faster to make up for inadequacies in ability. Nor am I saying I am a top class driver. I can handle myself well on a track, and I can get the power out of the car. Relax everyone, it's a sunny day ![]() Cheers, K. ![]() Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing... |

Offline | It was torrential rain here yesterday! Today has dried up somewhat, but there are ominous-looking clouds floating this way... Offline | And now we've moved on to another torrential downpour.... this time accompanied with lightning and thunder. Actually, it's safe to say it's properly storming at the moment. ![]() *runs outside waving his fists at the sky*Is this the best you can doooooo?!?! *and back on topic...* NeuroBeaker - Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 MINI ONE). *WARNING!* Thesis writing in progress. Offline | Why do you need the octane booster Karl? or is it just a habit you've got?? Sometimes octane boosters can do more halm than good. check your fuel lines / injectors on a regular basis for film / sludge. Glad you're enjoying your new found power, I personally need about 550bhp to make up for my poor driving. | Tunnel Runner | Race fuel for track work... dude seriously, you're a marketing man's dream. If Harry from Evo can run his £380k 7.2L V12 Pagani Zonda on Tesco 99/Optimax on more track days than you and I have done put together, I think your 1.6L brazillian pig iron four pot can cope! |
