Oh Im still on stock pistons, will be using pump fuel and 25psi ! (it doesnt pink either).
JE's and bigger turbo going in to a second engine we are building for late summer, so can repeat test with that.

I've never heard of any manufacturer or magazine carrying out a 60 - 130 mph test before . Whats the significance of this test ?.

The only problem with coming up with these wacky acceleration tests is there not relevant to anybody elses.

I do like comparing the acceleration test EVO magazine do with there performance box like Big Show has.

In the May 08 issue they tested a Porsche 977 Gambrella £300k

0-30 1.5
0-40 2.0
0-50 2.7
0-60 3.5
0-70 4.3
0-80 5.3
0-90 6.8
0-100 8.3
0-110 9.9
0-120 11.7
0-130 14.7
0-140 17.8
0-150 21.7

1/4 mile 11.8
mph 120.6

100-0 4.5

This is probably the only real way you can compare your car with others is buy buying a performance box and find a nice private road.

Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02
It's not how much you spend but how well you spend it

you try and tell the boys in time attack its not relevant.there are plenty of private roads to compare cars they are called race tracks.

If I manage to make Donny we can strap the performance box on then and measure any mph intervals you want, preferably with me not in the car . But you may as well do the standard test too. I'll then strap it to the R8 and any other fast cars I can get my hands on to compare... as long as its not faster than the Koenigsegg CCX then I don't mind otherwise I've got a big GTT bill heading my way

Lee got it right without me even needing to explain.
1) Its the speed range I use round CC for example +other tracks.
2) I want to use a starting speed that will not induce wheel spin,..this is an engine performance test not a tyre grippiness test.
3) I want to put in third , floor it, then have time to get the stop watch ready before all hell lets loose.
4) I want a high speed ( long run) so even if I were half a second out (unlikely) the percentage error on the run is minimal.
5) Anyone can try it on a private road without expensive equipment.
6) Oh and Big Show can have a go in his car to see the difference.
7) This test will realy sort the big power cars from the dreamers, and show as quite a few seconds difference.
1320.. dont you realise by having all the 0 to.... figures for a car as you have listed for a £300,000 Porsche ,you also have the 60-130 times aswell.
Let me explain :-
0-60 ...3.5 secs
0-130...14.7 secs
14.7- 3.5 = 11.2 seconds .....this is the 60-130mph time.
Now has anybody got the same for an R8?
