| The Power Cube | Why do Miltek seem to win the battle of the brands where exhausts are concerned? Is it heritage, design, quality, durability or what? Cheers, K. ![]() Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing... |

| MINI2 Master | design is of a high level. i remember when they had my car to design the exhaust for the mk4 Ibiza 1.8T. They had it a week, did over a 100 miles in it from memory and done a hell of a lot of testing on it. They also very quick at developing exhausts for new cars. my Ibiza was only 1 month old when they took it, can;t believe i was so quick to get modding on that car. Sometimes i wish i had kept it. Then i would'nt have spunked all the money on Mini and the Tdi. |

| The Power Cube | What makes you put Milltek 3rd, and more importantly why the others 2nd and 1st? I had a quick look at the FAQ section for a lazy view of the cat-back options, there are some smart ones out there, i just got thinking, i've got Milltek, but is there anything better, and what is better? Cheers, K. ![]() Too many mods to list, PM me if the cat needs killing... |

Offline | I really like the new style Magnaflow. I had the Milltek which is nice and sounds good but once you add a head that flows the small dia tubing of the Milltek becomes a bottle neck. The sound of the big Magnaflow is just awesome. ![]() ![]() Powered By 291.7WHP |

Offline | PMSL...My thoughts entirely ![]() Personally I love the sound a Borla makes, and also a Larini ![]() Both would be high on my choice if I were to change my JCW which I do like ![]() ![]() | MINIaddiction | | For MIDLANDS Folk in their MINI's | |

| Tunnel Runner | Of course, why do you think I drive through tunnels with a shed load of other people after midnight ... These are my favourite exhausts from either personal experience of having them on cars I've owned or cars my friends have owned.Milltek is 3rd because it's the best producer of sound from IMO a MCS with a Janspeed mani and also from an Audi V8, but the Capristo Stage 3 can't be beat as it gives F1 levels of sound on a 360 CS and the Borla with a bit of fudging makes a BMW V8 sound like a Nascar V8... Mugen sounds the **** on a S2000 and Blitz the same on a Nur Spec Skyline. Realised now though that you meant exhausts just on a Cooper S (it's been a long day in the sun), that list would go: 1. Milltek 2. Borla 3. Magnaflow 4. JCW Works German Challenge 5. Alta MiniTorque.com |

Offline | Ah, I should probably stress that I have a ONE (to be remapped this summer) - so in my earlier post I was thinking about ONEs/Coopers. | MINI2 Master | sorry Ben, Where the hell are Larinni and Tubi. To hear the noise of a Lambo LP640 with a full Tubi on t is something else. But if we get back to Minis then its got to be the Quicksilver. My mate has the quicksilver on his with oversized 400 cell race cat. The noise this thing makes is something else. I have not heard another Mini get close to it on sound terms, i am always jealous of it. Although i'm sure my soon to be aquired German Challenge exhaust may even the score up........lol |

Offline | I personally enjoy hearing exhausts that have a good tone to them, rather than the most decibels. NeuroBeaker - Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 MINI ONE). *WARNING!* Thesis writing in progress. Experiments continue. Multi-tasking? Explosion imminent! |
