Online | Milltek Manifold and Stock MCS exhaust ? Hi, Does anyone have any experience of using a Milltek exhaust manifold with the stock MCS exhaust system ? If so is this a quieter combination especially at motorway speeds when compared to a full Milltek exhaust system ( manifold and cat back) and say revving the car over 3500 revs. Also do you still see the power gains from the manifold when combined with the stock exhaust system? Thanks Perm ![]() |

Online | If you look at bigshows mods and you can see he has a janspeed mani +miltek cat back and made good power. He then swapped the catback to standard one and still made 272bhp so we know the stock exhaust can flow enough to produce very good bhp ![]() P.S I am running a janspeed mani +cat and have the stock exhaust on and it is very quiet. I did run the mani with the JCW catback and above 3k it was too loud for me Hope this is of help |

| Banned | What he said.. It felt like driving a Prius after fitting the stock one because I'd got so used to the Milltek but the stock has still got a nice rasp to it under WOT Power wise check out this http://www.mini2.com/forum/engine-dr...gain-loss.html |

Online | thanks for the input. I currently find the full milltek system a bit loud..... hence trying to find a way of keeping the performance gains but losing some of the noise......... I think a Milltek manifold paired with the stock exhaust may be an answer,,,,,, however I expect I will miss some of that burble. Perm ![]() |
