1320 check engine for bhp loss

I called 1320 Autos the other day to discuss tuning. They said some people have low hp cooper s and others have higher hp than 163/170. Also when we take are cars their we can ask for a dyno to be done. Then they can tell us if we are the lucky customers or unlucky ones whatever the case may be 1320 will cure your engine before starting to tune. This sounded very good to me. Now i would like if someone could tell me what are the factors of having a lower hp s??
i really would go to 1320 myself unfortunately i live in northern ireland and i'm on a budget and prob speak for a lot of other mini enthusiasts. plus i like to get a good spektrum and i will take all of your views into cinsideration. cheers and thanks for reading

What he^ said, if you have poor compression and leakage then the mods you do will not reflect the expected bhp gains

Compression and boost leaks are the main causes. Sadly its easy to get useto it as well so often people dont even know.
