Blue Cooper Cooper lightweight Flywheel

Thinking about spending a few more pounds whilst my transmission is dissmantled to fit a new clutch and buy a lightweight flywheel!

Does anybody have any suggestions on manufacturer and indeed has anybody else actually upgraded their flywheel on the cooper??

Also i'm right on thinking this will give me a noticable gain in accereration through the gears?

Your help is appreciated!

Note that there's not as much weight savings on the Cooper compared to the MCS, as
the MCS flywheel is about 28# and the Cooper flywheel is about 18#. I believe most
lightweight flywheels are in the vicinity of about 10-12#.

cristo: is that pounds... A fidanza Flywheel is 2.5kg = 5.5lbb.

I know nothing about flywheels so will dropping from 18lbs to 5lbs give me better acceleration through the gears?

£998 from Lohen + fitting although just noticed it's for the Cooper S only although you could try the Helix Performance Clutch Kit - heard it's pretty good and reasonably priced too.
