Cylinder Heads

Does anyone know if there is more than one type of MCS cylinder head?? Just noticed that the new head im in the process of fitting has no threaded studs on the inlet manifold like the stock one does. Has it been changed at some point? JCW maybe?

Thanks

I think I know what your on about, are there threaded holes? If so you just need to use two nuts back to back and extract the studs and then put them on your new head

Otherwise lol

As Jaw_430 has alluded to, the difference could be that the threads were left in the head for the one you're now fitting whereas usually they're removed before transit and to reuse in another application (although this isn't ideal because the studs can damage the soft aluminium threads in the head if removed and installed numerous times and in just one instance if mishandled!).

The only difference that I know of is that between the cooper and cooper S cylinder heads - the latter has hardened exhaust valves.
