K&N Apollo

I am toying with the idea of fitting a K&N Apollo induction kit to my R53 Cooper S Works.

I have read some good things but I was wanting to know if anybody has the kit fitted to their car.

Looking for some feedback!!

Thanks

David

I haven't heard too much about the apollo per say, but if you already have the JCW airbox it's not going to help much, only differences are plenum size and the JCW has that intake flap that opens at 4500 RPM. all the flap does is let air into the airbox through the vents under the windscreen, the reason they are closed until 4500 is for NVH dampening. I can't imagine you'd gain much if anything by switching airboxes, maybe a more aggressive tone, but that can be accomplished by the flap mod posted throughout these forums.

Mods: MiniMania CAI and 15% pulley, Racing Brake front rotors, EBC Green Stuff front pads, ALTA 19mm anti-roll bar

Mine is a 197bhp version without the airbox and blue injectors, so not got the flap etc. Ideally want one of these but The Apollo is going for a good price!
