| MINI2 Regular | Most powerful M45 11% JCW in the World!! * terms and conditions apply Most powerful M45 11% JCW in the World!! * terms and conditions apply The record has been brought home to Blighty! Yesterday @ 1320 history was made when my car broke the Antarctican held power record for an M45 11% JCW by crossing the dyno at 114 mph. with a frankly astonishing 245.8 BHP @ 7221RPM and 193.5 lbft @ 4998. This is all with the original JCW head, exhaust and 11% pulley as required by Guinness. This feat was made possible by the addition of the 1320 CAM and liberal application of Christune understanding. The car: 2004 JCW Mini Cooper S 190 conversion 50K Miles JCW Head JCW 380c Injectors 1320 Camshaft GTT Intercooler Christune 1320 Custom Remap GTT CAI JCW 11% Pulley Janspeed Manifold JCW Exhaust (No kink) OEM Spark Plugs Eibach lowered springs Front bush thingies Stock Clutch (On the car since new) No Diff OZ Superleggera 16 Alloys Toyo T1S Tyres (205/50/16) Shell Optimax Fuel or whatever its called now (No additives or NOS) Std OEM Oil and Fluids. We saw a peak of 250BHP at one point but the averages of three runs is 245. Intake temps are preventing further gains as the dip @ 6000 rpm shows. I have shown the dyno run compared to my previous run without the CAM and tune, what is amazing is the torque delta, around 20lb/ft extra @ 2500 rpm ! The car feels totally different now, like its a bigger engined car, it feels far more refined, smooth and effortless and is deceptively quicker, the 1:1 throttle mapping (the equivalent of a free sprint booster) is just right and to top it all its now using less fuel ! AND I AM A RECORD BREAKER Thanks as ever to Paul and Chris @ 1320 for all your hard work in creating another WORLD RECORD CAR. |

Offline | When blavk20vt first came to 1320 we were very impressed with how much boost it was making with the stock pulley and thus advise that the money would be better spent elsewhere to create some more hp / trq. Okay so its not good advice from a business point of view but we try to approach spending money on each customers car as if its our own money .I nearly fell of f the chair laughing at the Christune 1320 Custom Remap Slicks 11.77@115.92mph Street tyres 12.162 @ 119.02 It's not how much you spend but how well you spend it |

| MINI2 Regular | The man from Guinness was temporalily dazzled by the stickers on Bigshow's car so may not have 'officially' recorded it ![]() Yes the force is strong with this car, WHP ? PAUL ?? Just goes to show that the JCW head is not as bad as its rep, you just have to allow it to breathe. and no I'm not saying it is better than other aftermarket heads, just that if you have one - and many people do - it is not the barrier to more power. |

| MINI2 Regular | Its a live mapping on the dyno using Dimsport software - and Chris does it hence the natty name exactly the same as the RMW Jan tuning in the States except thats done by Jan and this is done by Chris. Hope that clears things up.Oh and Chris has some prior experience with a small engineering outfit mapping engines with 20,000 rpm limiters - just in case anyone thought he was a farmer ![]() |

Offline | Very impressive! Especially with no diff Would be interested to see how it performs with a new head aswell though! The boost is very good when you consider the cam will have removed a couple of psi from what it was before. Very impressive! Also shows that the very high rev limit isnt really needed and 7250 is a good place to end ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | My goal was 250bhp and a head isn't in my plans - just cost/benefit for me really as this is a fast road machine. (and I would lose my world record ). I am interested in cooling though as that is what is capping the power at present - I keep hearing the word 'laminova' in my head, but it is so well sorted right now....![]() |
