Dose anyone know if i can fit a R53 cooper s 6 speed gearbox on my R50 Cooper 52 plate?

Dose the bell housing line up to the engine?

this can be done, I have had it done on my '04 plate Cooper. This was fitted professionaly by 1320 autos and cannot recommend it enough.

Yes it can. It involves a fair few bits though and a lot of work. New box, new mountings, new flywheel, new driveshafts... as the ONE/Cooper ones don't just let you bolt an S box in. The casing however is essencially the same in terms of fit etc....just a lot of other stuff thats required is not.
