Offline | You would have ot use quite thick blades, and you risk slipping, so I wouldnt risk it. A dremmel (or similar) tool would work if you have the bendy end or the drill bit that cuts sideways. |

Offline | Jezzz... still got all 10 fingers? How many limbs? I'm from the "right tool for the job" school of thought, otherwise it usualy turns out youre the wrong tool for the job, and do yourself, or something else, damage. |

Offline | Nice one. The guy that taught me that useful lesson, and the lesson that you should always use sharp tools and knives, was my woodwork teacher.... Who slipped with a chisel as he was pushing too hard on it as it wasn't sharp. He pushed it through an artery in his leg and almost died. He was lucky he managed to tie it off and get help within minutes. That's why my chef knives in the kitchen can cut through a ripe tomato with their weight alone. One more thing, does your wife know you were using the steak knives to chop up your car? ![]() |

Offline | Cause I'm only 21 I couldnt afford the insurance, so my father put me on his company insurance policy which makes it alot more affordable for me. Just wondering being on a company insurance policy if that will cause any problems? Im going to call them when I've got the CAI and see what they say! Electrifing Blue |

Offline | Try https://www.hertsinsurance.com I know I 19 year old just got quoted £1000 for a MCS, and they will include free track day insurance if you request it. They told him it should drop down to £800-ish when he hits 20. |

Offline | Blimey thats good, cheers for posting up that! Might have to give them a call when I've got some money again. I've just bought a house and so the funds have all disappeared!!! ![]() At the moment on my fathers policy I'm paying £425...pretty good hey? I thought when telling the insurance company if I tell them its a CAI and it doesnt increase BHP or power and Im only fitting it for better fuel consumption becuase of the Cold Air Increase, they might not charge me extra? ![]() Electrifing Blue |

Offline | I think it will go up in price if its adds BHP. So many people say a CAI doesnt add BHP, then I would go with that. Funny, but my policy went up as the BHP would have gone up with each item, but didnt come down when I fitted Porsche brakes. Go figure. |
