Why do some people think that people need to calm down?

I've certainly been calm when writing my posts. In fact some of it has been comical

Wibbly can see your point of view, but surely you can see Dafllakes point of view aswell? I think Alksi hit the nail on the head with this.

Daflake I think only way you'll appease everyone is to do the pointless thing of moving certain posts to another thread which can continue that way your not breaching anyones human rights by keeping the thread open (Only kidding wibbly )

Calm down Damo.....

Actually I am very calm and haven't gotten mad at all. In fact I find this thread a refreshing change to the site. Wibbly and I may not see eye to eye and we are discussing that but I think that it is pretty clear that I have the mods backing as well as many of the users. It would have been pointless for me to generate a new thread just because he closed it but if it will make everyone happy I will be glad to do so.

still reading everyones posts... i am just sat here laughing - you seem to be arguing against something that was never there. talk about storm in a tea cup!!

I just genuinely check in to see what was going on in MINI2 coz i couldn't be bothered reading all the threads. nearly everything i have posted has been taken the wrong way - i assume because you guys like a fight.

It really is eye opening.

The green face is strong in this thread luke.

I'll sit down on the side line and watch you all get flustered now.

(and i still don't think i have found out what particularly has been going on in the past few months - which was the original topic of my thread )

Cheers,
K.

Dude... I have remained pretty quiet and low key in here but enough is enough. You need to stop laughing about you enjoyable "joke" and get real...

Karl your marketing for Roland here and it's not just the usual suspects who are questioning the utter drivel written above, it's everyone else who's sick of it. I could say I'm 6'8" and built like an All Black player over the net but it doesn't make it true... that would be a harmless joke but there are not many people on here who can simply write off £10k of their own or borrowed money on something they will never get it back on and they need cold hard facts to help them make the best of what they have.

There are people on here who know what they are doing and spent years of their own time and lots of their own money building and ripping cars back down to see what works and what doesn't work. For those people, when they read this just think how much it puts things into perspective when you "guess" how good your car is and market is a such. It would make me sick to my stomach!

Look at Jan... his first stage head you can buy (not honed to a "stage 4/5"), out of the box whether set up by him or not with a few of the right bolt on mods makes anything from 260bhp up and on lower boost than all of our most marketed uk supercharged conversions(BBR, GTT, etc) proven on dynos across the world, drag strips across the world and race tracks across the world. It's not like he bangs on about as much as some do and is almost modest in comparison... he's thrown down the gauntlet in hope that people will push him to do better but what have they done....

...Nothing, absolutely nothing!! we are still banging on about claims of 273 bhp on a one single dyno day at least a year ago now which clearly had not been set to the correct rev limit for the car being tested and in most peoples view is now void and not even remotely valid to stake a claim on.

Does Jan and others who have already proven they have found the perfect route to power need to move on? Not really (but he is!). Do your guys? Yes, you can't better someones product just buy saying so. So either stop the stupid claims and drivel about lambos or get out their and prove us wrong. The End.

Talking of myself personally, there is certainly nothing on your car that I either don't have already or want.

Wow, I am quickly losing respect for you Karl. You come in and stir the pot again and then when you get a response you post an antagonistic post and then close the thread? Sorry but once again I am over ruling it and allowing this thread to stay open. We are not in the habit of closing threads on this forum because you disagree with how it is going. Time to grow up and move on if you are in over your head.

As for the close feature this is now under discussion with us mods.

you misunderstood the post

it's always better to make power on lower boost. What would lead you to think otherwise?

yes with out doubt boost kills engines.i thought it an od thing to say as s/c puts more stress on the engine than a turbo will at the same boost will it not ?

Hi Lee,

Yes you're corrected, a supercharger produces more heat than a turbo, due the supercharger having to squash the air which cause's heat. As you know a turbo uses a compressor wheel to push the air into the cylinder head meaning less heat. I've always been a great believer in maximum power for the minimum amount of boost. Less boost means less heat.

thats partly why i went for a turbo.my car runing 18psi againts a s/c runing 18 psi in theory is making more for less.now theres a thought i wonder what the bhp would be on the cars as regards the gap or lack of gap?

I very much doubt this Karl and any respect I may have had for you disapeared with this thread.

As I said before, however if anyone is green on here it will be towards Lee's car not yours Good luck with that 475bhp by the way

PMSL The fact your sat there expecting people to get flustered at your posts says it all and shows what you've been trying to do all along. Been very enteraining all the same, however its been at your own expense However I look forward to more entertaining posts from yourself in the future
