Blimey I reckon you could even sell tickets for such an event

Karl has been asked a number of time but there is always something. I even invited him to the one this saturday that I've organised (see link for attendee's that include BigShow) and I and others have offered to pay for the run. Enough in fact to actually pay for his run and the petrol to get there.

The ticket funds would of gone to Charity (joke no tickets were organised lol)

On track, all ther other stuff i have such as PSS's BBK, stripped interior, removal of aircon, all 4 struts etc. etc. all help.

I have the Exedy clutch c/w lightweight flywheel, quaiffe atb , lightweight OZ Ultraleggeras, 4 x GTT braces, GTT Spiroslot brakes, Screaming Demon coil & leads, GTT manifold & JCW exhaust (did have)............................so not really that far behind you in spec!!

OK guys - all sounds good :-))

Regarding this weekend, i really do have a personally important date to maintain - (ok, it's for a girl!!) so you could offer me a free holiday and i wouldn't turn up. So i think it is fair to say this weekend is out. I'd have come along otherwise, seriously.

Yes, i would wet my pants if it came out at exactly 280bhp. That would just be too sick!!

AberdeenAl - yeah, looks like we have very similar cars then. I'm basing my 280bhp estimate on the fact that Rolands earlier car was kicking out 273bhp. i added 5bhp to it for the little extras i have and rounded it to 280bhp. It might come out as 274bhp, but hopefully higher.

I think i will puke in a bucket if it comes out at 273bhp or less.

Somebody better have 20 Camel ciggarettes at the ready on the day for me to smoke - coz i will be well pumped up grrrrrrr. I might even hold the car back on the rollers with my bare hands - grrrrrrr.

As for the lambo tale, that did happen guys - maybe it was due to driver skill, or how the power was put down, but i can tell you hand on heart it happened.

That aside, i agree that certifying my BHP is WELL OVERDUE. I mean, it's begining to annoy the **** out of me now LOLOLOL.

I appreciate the annoyance i must have caused so far - it really isn't meant - sometimes i am out of touch with reality and often find it difficult to favour the opposition. However, for me, GTT has always delivered so i have a little problems in remaining with them.

I'm a friendly guy and really don't mean to generate as much agro as this.

I wonder if anyone would be up for a trackday sometime this year - just the hardcore fellows. It'd be quite surreal to see each other face to face too - i'll bring my head and feet guards in case anyone wants to take a free pop at me

I'm discussing a RR session with Roland at the moment - just waitng for him to come back.

Cash is pretty s*** at the moment so any donations on the RR session would be greatly receeived. or perhaps we could have a wager at a company level - is GTT or 1320 etc. willing to place a £50 bet or anything LOL. No, now that is silly Karl, not the way we should be talking at all LOL.

Right - i think there was too much colourant in the curry i just ate - coz i am chatting s*** now!!!

L8trz.

(and peace!)

K.

...one last comment on my part - i have a strong preference for Roland to oraganise my RR for the simple fact that if the F***** thing blows up - i don't have an insurance payout to claim coz it wasn't me that organised it!!

All this to blow up my car - i'd be ****** livid!!! LOL.

I'd be well happy for anyone else to attend the RR that does get organised, i'd even drive you down in my motor and back again (if you live in manchester). The more the merrier really. I certainly won't allow any trickery to be had - i want a TRUE RR figure for the £1000's ive spent on it!!!!!

Anyway guys (and girls?)

Karl, 2 events spring to mind, Mini In The Park next month at Santa Pod August 17th and the mini action day at Castle Combe on September 27th. Even if you don't take part, why not come along and say hello

Castle Combe's a good event, plenty of room for over taking the slower cars, you shouldn't have any problems there.............

Unless the AFR is running very lean on your car, it certainly wont blow up on a rolling road .

Looks like my little question got overlooked with all the commotion that's been going on . Now that things have carmed down, I'd love to learn more about your F1 involvement . I've been following F1 for the past 24 seasons, so i must have seen some of your parts going round the track .

Hi Karl,

Mini In The Park is being held as last year at Santa Pod, its a real social event bringing new and old mini's together with traders and club stands, I know Lohen will be there. You can take your car up the drag strip, or just spectate

There was a good gathering of new mini's last year, so if possible please come a long and say hello

I was offered a job with the Williams team in 1996, but sadly couldn't accept it They even paid me for the interview, workshops were amazing!!

I have a friend who runs a 6 wheeled Tyrell, who I think held the record at Goodwood for a year or so, all some car!!

LOL, I don't think that this is a witch hunt but more of a "let's be real" thread. For a long time there have been claims of large power and I think that it is high time people showed the proof to back the claims. Right now this seems to be a bit one sided but if you look at another recent thread we called out a bogus dyno plot to prove that a company was flubbing their numbers. It is extremely important that the customer is getting what he paid for and if it must be said, have the bragging rights. However, if you come on here with high claims expect to be called out. It is time for the truth to ring out in this section as we are seeing a lot of fluff out there that is muddying things up.

I like Karl but he made a claim that is a little (ok a lot) hard to swallow so we all called him on it. Not trying to be mean, only real....

rolling road

Forget the rolling road.
Go to Torque development international (tdi) in Essex.
they have a Rototest dyno it measures from the hub and is one of the most accurate ways to measure torque.

Lee, just turn up and book your slots, its as simple as that. You will have to take part at a 10minute lecture on how to drive around the track, its just a health and safety thing!

So if this is a suddgested vendor rigging power issue why flame the car owner?

If you treated and employee like this it would be constructive dissmissal

It all verges on rule number 4

"4. Last but not least my favorite. Leveling bogus claims against another user or sponsor. - It is not acceptable to say that a sponsor or user is doing something false or incorrect unless you were there and have proof. In the past we have seen claims that range in severity and to be honest it is just an ignorant and childish knee jerk because you have nothing better to say. Best just to not say anything at all. It, like number 3, will not be tolerated by me."
