| - contact me via email - | i know a chap that removed the pre silencer in the mid pipe of the JCW and ran a GTT cat, the JCW exhaust is more raspy when tweaked as such, the millteck is more of a burble and for properly growl and burble you really need a borla or magnaflow |

Offline | A-ha, I see. I didn’t realise my JCW went into the right silencer and then to the left before the tail-pipes, just assumed it split to both and then re-joined again (if that makes sense), obviously I need to look under the car (I’ve only had it a week!!). |

Offline | Also known as the resonator box - on early JCW this is a separate piece and can be easily removed. On late cars it is welded section all the way from the cat back through the resonator and including the back boxes - it can be cut out and replaced as is done with the JCM 4/2/1 manifold and sports cat installation In Italy |

Offline | I’ve kinda put messing with the car on hold for a bit, because I have recently just passed my motorbike test and have just bought a Ducati Monster so have been tinkering with that – had some carbon Termignoni exhausts put on – very loud!!!!!!!! Plus in truth the JCW is a fantastic little car as it is and the wife loves it, so we have both got our toys now. |

Offline | Im a bit late on this thread i know, but if i were you i would go for the JCW Motorsport 4-2-1 manifold as that will give you more mid range grunt than a 4-1 such as the Janspeed etc, than go for the Miltek cat back, this will be one hell of a system that im seriously thinking of changing to in the future. I have a JanSpeed cat back on my MCS sound good but is very shouty with a de-cat! |
