BBR twin intercooler

Is anyone running a BBR twin intercooler?
The conversion maintains the original top mounted intercooler and in addition uses a secondary front mounted cooler...

Do you have any pics on your car?

Can you afford to loose even more boost? The standard intercooler looses plenty. Would a larger more efficient top mount intercooler be a much better idea?

Twin Intercoolers?

You sure you've read it right, on their Turbo conversion the original intercooler is completly replaced with a front mount. The top mount intercooler your talking of is in fact a new air intake.

Sorry my bad, i completly missed this bit...

The BBR Phase Three includes phase 2 with the addition of BBR's twin high flow intercooler assembly. The conversion maintains the original top mounted intercooler and in addition uses a secondary front mounted cooler. This includes all related pipe work, clamps and fixtures, and as with all our conversions BBR custom mapped software.

Considering how they've spoken to Sayathan I'd stay well clear of BBR and their conversions. If you want Turbo, the GTT's is far better.

Having said that if you want the best intercooler you want to look at the GRS intercooler and chargecoolers offered through an number of sponsers on here. A front mounted intercooler is also in deveopment but will mean ditching the air con.

However keeping the standard cooler and then putting the air through a second intercooler seems a bit daft to me!

i believe that twin intercooler is used on their 250/275/300bhp conversions, and a lot of people are getting power in that region without spending £2000 on a twin intercooler - graham at GRS is developing a front mount which i believe bigshow is going to trial. it might be worth waiting and seeing what happens with that - graham being a specialist in that area.

Just interested in the design and how they pulled it off. The idea sounds interesting. For the price there is no way I would touch it...
