Is any one aware of a camber kit available for the mcs? IF so where from and how much.
There is no provision std and i do the odd track day the outside edges of my tyres look very second hand not to mention lost time .I'm in australia but happy to import kit from anywhere?

I'd check your tyres pressures before anything else since the JCW cars run std camber as std for racing and we don't have 'that' much of an issue with uneven wear or needing more neg camber (emphasis on that)

I've done temp test on the tyres after hard sessions and with the right settings you can get a fairly even distribuition (5degrees max difference) which would suggest camber change is not neccessary

I assume you are racing one of the jcw cars?

I ran my tyres at about 38/40 cold this increased to the high 40's after 4 laps i was told to try and keep the hot psi to no more than 45 so i adjusted them through out the day PS the tyres were yokahama ao32r semi race.

What pressures have you found to work best? have done a lot of asking but every one just seems to be guessing. Left front tyre was very scolloped by end of day.

This is WAY too high even for yoko a032's - You should be looking at hot pressure of mid to late 30's at the most ie the pressure the tyres are designed to work at best on the MINI -

INvest in a pyrometer (you can get cheap ones) and keep checking the inside mid and outside temp of the tyres with different pressures

If the mid temp is much higher than outsides then pressure is too high if the mid is much lower than outside pressure is too low etc. Only if the outside temp is much higher than the mid and inside should you need to alter the camber

I've done three lapping days and one autocross with almost no wear outside normal tread. National champ Garfield suggested using 38f, 38r. Club racer from Chicago says the same, no camber change needed.

Rogue engineering (http://www.rogueengineering.com/Merc...egory_Code=SUS) has adjustable rear control bars in production for tweaking the camber on the S. I am waiting for these to be ready before I lower my car.

chigh 38/38 are theese cold inflations? as this is very simular to what i was running.

The other thing is in auto cross you dont get the sustained high g's and there for wear rates would be better.

Other cars ive owned have always benifited from neg camber on the front wheels i still think there are definate gains to be made.

Yes, cold pressures. The tracks I drove were Blackhawk and Road America. Very different, but still a lot of right turning. I am using stock Dunlop Sp SPort 9000 runflats. These will make some noise near their limit of traction, the car will push a bit - if you add throttle the tires will scrub as the car understeers. Total miles probably around 300+. No problems with wear. I did rotate the left side as the left front had more wear than the left rear, but I'd have to say it's minimal. Softer tires will show the wear sooner. I'm happy with this set up.

h&r are doing camber adjusters.not sure if they do mini fitments yet as they have just been released.as far as i know they replace the top bolts on the damper-mounting base and each bolt has a lobe,this allows a +/-3 degree adjustment by rotating the bolt through 180 degrees pushing the wheel and hub assembly in or out.they cost £29 for the pair through motorsport wheels [uk].i really dont know how effective these would be. but i know someone on this forum will soon tell you. good luck.
