I own a black Mini Cooper, and i wanted to upgrade the engine a little....chip, Pipercross etc...
But as I still wanted to keep the guarantee, i started looking up the JCW stuff, all excited about the suff i wanted to fit in my car.
I once happened to be at my local BMW dealer and i asked them if i put some JCW stuff on my car, will i still have the guarantee?? Ladies and Gentlemen, the answer was no...

I think they're wrong... have you tried asking MINI/BMW direct?

Perhaps it was the specific question? If YOU, the owner, puts some JCW stuff on it then perhaps the warranty is in question. Compare that to having the car modified BY JCW where the warranty would remain intact. That said, JCW may only be warranty covered in some countries -- best to ask and get an answer in writing before you take the plunge.

You have to wait a few more weeks. In the Netherlands the JCW kit for the Cooper will be availble under BMW warranty as from November and is gonna be supplied through the MINI dealers. My dealer got a price indication from BMW Netherlands in the range of euro 4,000 - 4,500, which is really ridicilous for a 15 HP gain.
