soft turbos's

Has any1 ever tried this on the mini or any other car for that matter?

Its turbo/supercharger type thing but instead of being powered from exhaust or direct drive its electric! Oh and cheap!!

Look at the link anyway!

**5% HP GAIN through the entire RPM range!**

I wouldn't consider $299 cheap for 5.75 extra horses on a Cooper.

They usually belong on Novas and the like - it's similar to wiring up a hairdryer to your intake...

Do not nuy these products. They are being sold all over ebay as well and do not work. Most of them are made from BILGE pumps from boats. Which only are ment for moving fumes out of engine compartment. I have talked to many people about these and they all said that it was a huge scam. Plus I live in south florida and am in the boat business. I talked to my Tech about these, and they are only used for short periods of time they would not be good in an intake tube. Also I discovered that the blades end up breaking off after about 300 hours and thats on a boat where they would cause no damage. You wouldn't want these blades falling off, and then sucked through your TB. One other thing the amount of CFM's that these produce are nothing at all and would not benifit your car at all especially a 4 cyl. Go to this auction on ebay and this guy will break it down for you. click here
DONT FALL FOR THIS SCAM.

The ones on ebay are a rip off, but this one is the real thing, it will increase the performance a bit, as the produces enough lift to actually "take off" check the video section of this site. This is not a bilge pump for a boat, and is made for the specific design, since it is similar to a superchanger, it will not do very much in the mini cooper, but I know of people that have used it on turbo cars to get rid of the turbo lag by creating it's own boost to get them turbines spinning. But for 300 and on a superchaged car, not really worth it.

Oh. I guess these are different. It is a pretty cool design I don't know if it is worth $300.00 dollars. I wonder if this would benifit the blower at all. If anyone has put one of these on there Mini please post up.
