| life in orange | @paulmon a speed governor at the mcs? thats new to me! does anybody know some details about this statement? @qqq please don't compare 235 kph read on the speedo with 229 kph from a track test measurement! it's a big difference! but believe it or not -> the top speed is higher. you can fell it and you can read it on the speedo. next time i'm posting a speedo-shot - promised! ![]() have fun & ride free bigagsl |

Offline | I do believe that your speedo indicates 235 kph. Rumphorst however claims a topspeed of 240(!) kph, I assume they mean 'real' kph, just like I assume their claimed 35 HP and 30 Nm gains are 'real'. Hamann (not the least of all tuners) seems to need a lot more modifications for a topspeed of 229 kph (and a 48 HP/45 Nm gain). Just trying to put things into perspective. ![]() |

| life in orange | @bad manners no, rumphorst doesn't have a workshop at the ring. only their research & development partner is situated at the ring. but for sure macmini2 could arrange a special deal (if you are interrested). but: interrested or not - send me a pm or post it before riding to the ring... then we can hold a little meeting at the ring with other german mini enthusiasts! that would be great fun! for example: today we had a short planned meeting with 6 mcs & 1 one at stuttgart. we made a very winding trip (150km) through the suabian alb area (wonderful curves and very steep ).have fun & ride free bigagsl |

Nm Cooper S with new disk----> 240 Nm Max. Nm Cooper S only chip -----> 205 Nm (!) normal: 210 Nm Norm. Hp Cooper S with disk ---> 204,6 HP Norm. Offline | The chip only gives more torque in the upper rev range, which is not what I'm looking for. The torque curve of the standard S and the chipped version look almost identical in the 1500 - 6000 rpm range. It doesn't give me the desired more grunt in the lower and middle rev range. For me it's clear now that you need a combination of the two modifications to give me the tuned S I'm looking for, just as most tuning companies are offering. Just my 2 cents |

Offline | hi if i were u i'd test a superchipped s without a different supercharger disk first! believe me: it is HELL ! the funny thing is that with a disk you have more NM's but your topspeed hasnt really improved compared to a non-chip-S !.
