Piper Cross Filter/very impressed!!

Fitted the Pipercross cone filter on Saturday, and a 200 mile run on country roads and motorway at the weekend shows a remarkable improvement on throttle response. The induction noise is now up slightly under heavy acceleration , but it's not intrusive, and can easiliy be diminished by turning the radio up a notch .

Very impressed, and highly recommended modification , that can be easily removed in 5 mins, prior to service to avoid possible Warranty arguements in the future.

Thanks bonnie scot.

Do you know what the model number is cos minispares http://www.newminisport.com/perf_induction.asp sell the cooper 's' PK240 Induction Kit for £69.95. I was just wondering if this is the same one.

Regards,
TC.

Your Lucky Day

Hey TC,
Go here http://new.minispares.com/
It's listed actually on the front home page, part number NME2008

Why lucky, cause it is now only £90.91 + vat and delivery and no it is not the same one as the PK.

I've just been on the pipercross website and they have it listed as pk240 which is the same as the one listed at minisport http://www.newminisport.com and i've just rang minisport and they've confirmed that it is the full kit with heatshield etc for £69.95 wow they must be cheap.

Different

TC, there is a difference between miniSPORT & miniSPARES,
The sport site shows the cone and no heatshield, the spares site shows the heatshield.
I guess thats where the main difference in price comes from.

Best bet is to PM podger and see what he got.

I know that mine is from minispares and it defo has a heat shield.

Thamks

The picture on the minisport site is of the pk222 which is the induction kit for the MINI cooper not the 'S'. I live quite local to MiniSport so I could always pop in and check. If it comes with the heat shield (which they said it does) then £69.95 must be a bargain.

PK222

PK222 is the Cooper kit, not the Cooper S Kit. Our site has suddenly lost 10% all of a sudden, price will be £100+ VAT, however I will honour any ordered at the price it shows. It will change at the end of the day though!

Simon I don't want to start a price war or anything but why is your kit priced at £100 +Vat when Minisport have the same PK240 Cooper 'S' kit for £69.95 inc VAT?
(Just tryin to help Mini2 members get the best deals im sure you understand) If Minisport have it priced incorrectly then I hold my hands up but they have confirmed the price to me over the phone.

Mini Sport

I have just spoken to Mik up at Mini Sport, he thinks they have made a mistake, they are going to sort ASAP! Pipercross's retail is £115+ VAT!

hehehe! I think your right. Mini sport have confirmed to me that it's not definately underpriced but they'll know in an hour so i'll let u know. If it is underpriced then i've shot myself in the foot with that one . I should've ordered it at the wrong price and kept my gob shut.

If it helps, the playmini exhausts on their site were also underpriced

Quick! Order!
