Well this is very nice, I look for some comfort and instead you're trying to flog your old gear to me!!

It does sound quite nice though to be honest, however I'm in a real dilemma now about possibly going for a Cherished low milage Cooper S (so it's all run in etc.) then getting the Hartge mod!

Oh no and to think I've only had my Cooper for 4 months or so...

...must be sensible...

Funnily enough i only had my cooper for 4 months, but i was lucky, my dealer had all the bits i wanted on an S and more on a brand new car in the showroom, so i just did the bizzo there and then.
Now if only i could stop spending money on it i might be a wealthy man

I'm terrible for changing cars but I finally found the Mini keeps me satified with looks and the way it handles... however it's now too slow for me and I've been looking at the JCW S and the Hartge!

A new breed of Mini and now I want to change...

In the last 18 months I've had the following;

Fiat Punto GT, BMW M3, Rav 4, New Corolla T-Sport, Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T and now my Cooper!

As you can imagine it's stung me quite a bit changing all those... but I want to change again...

I can't help it and the Hartge sounds great!!

Where's my Psychiatrist?

Phil, can you tell me if us decendents of criminals down under (although I am actually Chinese and am probably decendent of some opium dealer instead ) are able to get the Hartge conversion? Do you know if there is a distributor of Hargte product here in Australia? Thanks.

WAY: Boo posted the following in the jcw kit dropped by BMW-thread

Just been talking to the boys at Peak Performance out at Parramatta, they will be selling the Hartge upgrades for the Cooper S soon. Apparently the are just waiting for the info packs to come out from Germany

Maybe you can contact him for more info

The TT Roadster is a great car, but understeers like a pig. I never got around to mod it to fix that problem, as I was finding that I didn't use the convertible top. To be honest with you, I am regretting that I didn't just go for the coupe. Would still have the car if I did. Quattro and 225bhp (which increases to 250 with chipping) is very desirable. Love the feeling when the Turbo comes on full steam.

It's sounds like the Quattro could be the next car on your list mate!

I have just been reading the article on the Hartge Cooper S and it does sound awesome.

I was wondering though has anyone had the problem they mention briefly on their converted car??

Apparently it was a weak engine bracket...

Hmm, can someone PLEASE scan the article or type out some key points (if not the whole article ) so that the rest of the world could read it too? I am so keen to read about this conversion. I really love the way the S handles, but it just need some more power. It will make my partner very happy if I do this conversion, as it is a much cheaper option than buying a new car again!!!

Hey thanks so much for the article!!! I REALLY want to do this conversion now!!! Can someone tell me how would the Piper Cross cold air intake affect this conversion? I have been running the Piper X for awhile now, and as far as I can tell from that article, the intake has not been modified? Can someone who has done the mod tell me??? Thanks!

I don't think you would have any problem, i took mine off for the hartge conversion thinking that a mod was done there. No mods are made to the induction side at all, so with the stock filter you still get 212 BHP.
