Offline | Your Location!!!!! Phil, Just dawned on me where your workshop is, i've calculated about 515 miles to get there, wow, no problems though, well worth it and hence the exhaust being ready in time would be great! Hopefully there is a train station nearby where i can catch a train to Luton??? Alan fae bonnie scotland ![]() |

| Addict | Phil, thanks for all the info, and well...it's just such a nice change from my MINI dealer to have someone offer information voulentarily, and actually have that information be accurate! I am very interested in any possible conversions for the United States so if/when any info on that becomes available, will you let us know? Thanks! Whatever. |

Offline | Hartge Mini Package Hi US availability is a good question and I hope to have an answer this week. Issues are fuel - 97/98RON required, plus technical capacity to read ODB software and email it to us. There are a few other things, but if you can email me direct on marketing@birds.uk.com I'll make sure you are included in my repsonse to other US customers as soon as I have it! Offline | Meet Up Dave, I'm planning on dropping the car off sometime on the 26th as i'll be driving down from Scotland, that gives them 2 full days to do my car. Phil has kindly offered to drive me to Luton (thats where my sister lives) so i'll probably see your car in millions of bits lying about the workshop floor!!!! Pity we won't meet as i'd like to thank you personally for advising of Birds. Do you know roughly how far Luton is from their place by any chance?? Speak later Alan fae bonnie scotland ![]() |

Offline | For continental S owners interested in the Hartge kit, see this e-mail I received today from Hartge: Thank you for your e-mail. We charge 1,450.00 EUR for the Mini Cooper S tuning kit (excluding fitting, running in engine and dyno test, TÜV approval and transport if applicable). The fitting takes approx. 4-5 hours (approx. 400.00 EUR). To make an appointment we kindly request you to contact George on +49 6835 50611. In your first e-mail, I believe you mentioned our dealer Birds in the UK. We have HARTGE dealers in most countries, therefore you do not have to travel to Germany to have this conversion done. Should you have any further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us. We look forward to hearing from you soon. Yours sincerely, Heike Kind regards HERBERT HARTGE GmbH & Co. KG Volker Schu |

Offline | Approved I had a very good discussion at my dealer today, i wanted to find out for sure about my warranty and TLC packages if i went ahead with the upgrade and i was told that there would be no problems. I Guess the real test will be if and i do mean if a problem arises. Anway, i'm well happy. Alan fae bonnie scotland ![]() |

Offline | Birds are a top outfit I used them for my BMW 7 series. They gave the car a checkover, advised me what definitely needed to be done and what I could get away with. Always had the time to talk to me to discuss any questions. Kevin Bird the MD came out with me on the initial roadtest to analyse the car - suggested a solution and was spot on. Lucky for me they are only 1/2 hour away but I too will be paying them another visit when my MINI comes. I am sure that anyone who leaves their car with them for ANY work can be confident knowing that it's in the hands of experts. Just look at some of the kit that's sat there when you go for the first time - these guys are serious! ![]() 260909 ![]() |
