Offline | Hi guys! This is my new air induction kit, I was try to buy the pipercross kit, but in Spain it's so difficult. And finally I buy the K&N filter. This is the first filter sold in my state by a Mini. The sound is very impressive when the engine up between 2.500 to 5.000 rpm (I always say at my friends, a V8 Mini). I feel it more quickly in acceleration and response, but not yet I have verified with a chrono the differences with respect to the original one. Only have a problem, in my opinion, the kit have too many pieces (7) to ensamble and fit the filter. I'm going to drive... |

Offline | Hola Yui! Your K&N filter looks nice, although the "kit" looks a bit different than the one I bought in Mexico. I love the roar it produces, but I am also worried about the hot air it picks from the engine area. I will soon install a heat shield to alleviate this problem a bit... Anyway, ¡Felicidades Camarada! ![]() MEXICAN MINI Maniac "As we have seen, you can be at high "tenth values" without going over 50 m.p.h." Denis Jenkinson, in The Racing Driver. Offline | How is the kit for curing the slight "stumble" of the engine? Does it get rid of some of the hesitation around 3K rpm? I'm dying to get a hold of a kit but I can't decide between all the choices (K&N, MonsterMini, MiniMania, Pipercross, HKS, etc). Let us know how it feels 'seat-of-the-pants' to you. | MINI2 Newbie | This is the JCW-Carbon-Airfilter. It makes a very low V8 like noise when accelerating from 1000 RPM upto a screaming V8 when you approch 5000 RPM ... very very impressive. No increase in temerature noticable. This filter was especially designed for the Mini One and Cooper. |

Offline | Hi everyone ! Yes, I have a little increase of temperature but always below the half of the "temp gauge". I think put any isolator between the engine and the filter, maybe this thing reduce the temperature in this espace. I pay 132 euro, mounted by me. Really I feel a little hesitation around the 3k rpm but this isn't any problem at time to advance the cars. ![]() |
