Offline | What oil is factory fill in Cooper S? Just curious what the factory fill is, brand and viscosity. I intend to put the car on 100% synthetic oil once it is broken-in, probably at the 6000 or 9000 mile change. Hoping K&N makes an oil filter that fits the MINI's 1.6L. I use K&N oil filters on my 'Vette (LT1) and the oil stays *very* clean looking on the dipstick. Guess I should get the car ordered 1st though! Doing that this coming week. |

Offline | It comes from factory with Castrol fully synthetic. I did intermediate change with Mobil 1 at 5k miles. Next change is at 10k. Have you downloaded the owners manual yet? That will answer a lot of questions. Missing my buddies Dan and Ed but glad I have two angel buddies , And on a quest to Right Secco's Wrongs |
