Offline | Hello. I mounted a K&N ind. kit and now I have a better gas comsumption and a better acceleration, but I feel the car not runs freely above the 180km/h and the max. vel. is 200Km/h. Before, with the stock air filter the car runs good at 180km/h and my max velocity was 200-210Km/h. confused: |

Offline | Maximum speed is a function of gear ratios and how long you can wait for the revs to build up. Offline | Hi! I refer how to be upper the rpm's. Before on the freeway I was accelerated in 6th gear at 6500rpm and the speed was then 210km/h. Now, I can't to be upper the rpm's above the 5600rpm in 6th gear. I can only arrive at 6500rpm when the car run on downhill. Is possible too much air in the intake? Thanks. Yui. |

Offline | how long have you been running the filter before you tried the top end run. It is possible that the comp. is reading a bit lean condition with the better filter and is retarding the timing a tad perventing the top end. I changed to the K&N filter for my S and noticed the same thing at first. the top end just wasnt there. after a bit the car ran better and top end increase almost to the way it was with the stocker.. But (yes theres always a but) after running NOS octane booster in the car.
