Offline | Cooper JCW conversion? Has anyone had the JCW conversion done to their Cooper? If so, are you happy with the result? The JCW web site indicates an increase in performance to 132 hp@5750 rpm and torque to a whopping 162 at 5000 rpm, does it 'feel' this good to you? What other differences do you notice, e.g. noise levels, mileage, etc? Also, I'd be curious to hear why you chose to have this done vs. buying an MCS for probably the same money (or maybe even a little less). If you're like me, it would be because you prefer the styling of the Cooper over the MCS. Just curious to get everyone's thoughts and opinions. Cheers Chilly |

Offline | Hi, just to let you all know that I had a test drive in a Works Cooper, and it had a lot more urge from low down, got to 80 MPH quite quickly. The noise from the air induction kit and exhaust was the business. I would like to have my Cooper modified next year, just saving up for it. Try it, and I think you will like it, the guys at the John Cooper garage were friendly and helpful, makes a big change !! ![]() |

Offline | Hello Chilly, i have not yet driven a MCS, but the noise of the JCW was nice and fruity when accelerating hard and at normal cruising speed was not too intrusive. I think the noise was worth it for the performance. All the best DJC.Happy motoring. ![]() |
