As far as looks go, i'm very tempted by the Hartge or a similar quad exhaust. For power, the Magnaflow looks best. For a mix of power, weight and sound the Quicksilver. For just weight and power, the supertrapp (the jury's still out on the sound)...

Whatever.

As it stands now, the Magnaflow. Seems to have a good combo of looks, power, and sound

Before I make any sort of recommendation, what are you looking for? Sound mainly? Extra power with no regards for weight? Weight savings and power without regards to sound? There are a bunch of different compromises that come with each exhaust, and once you decide what's most important to you, then I can tell you which exhaust(s) would suit you best...

Whatever.

Need more analysis, too...

I've got a headache, so I won't do any math right now, but it would be interesting to see hp gain in terms of overall change in the hp/weight ratio.

Say you get 15 hp with one system that is similar to the weight of the stock system, and other system gains 12 hp, but saves 20 lbs, where does that put you? Is it a significant consideration, at all?

Me want power .... mmmm ..... power. Sounds like the Helix exhaust was the best performer in the Grassroots Motorsports comparo, but I haven't gotten my issue yet (got a subscription for Xmas from my sweetie ).

GRASSROOTS

From what everyone is talking about the exhaust test at Grassroots was only for the MC only and not the MCS. I believe the HP winner is the Magnaflow overall.Any HP tests out there on the Supersprint system besides their own.

Can someone post the results of the Grassroots tests ? Or is there a link where I can read this article ?
As I'm looking for a Cooper exhaust system, I'd be very interested in this !

I voted other because I need a trailer hitch to carry a few extra things to out of town autocrosses. A Supertrapp like Garfields single rear side exit would be cheap and light and offer tuneability as modifications change over time. The Rogue, with twin rear side exits, would provide for the trailer hitch option as well or you could put a Y at the end of the last part of the straight pipe in the middle of the car and do your own custom twin rear side exit exhaust.

I always liked the look of the Remus exhaust. But, aren't they designed to be super quiet? That was the impression I got from their site.

I had a Remus on my MX-5. For the first 2'000 Km it seemed fairly quiet but then became progressively louder ending up just perfect! I think they design and build their exhausts like this in order to get TUV type-approval.

It's all in the mind! I'm never going to have my car dynoed anyway. It sounded great and made me believe I had a power gain. As they have TUV approval, they are street legal which is quite important here.
