Max Torque

Hi,

All the performance improvements seem to state the BHP at 200+ but can anybody tell me what the highest torque available on an MCS with any modifications is?

Any actual examples of performance products to get to this max torque value would be great.

Cheers,

EB.

Can the torque be increased on the MINI engine as this would mean a change in camshaft design ??

Anybody ?

Have you not read all the many many Hartge 212-215bhpMCS conversion threads then?? The torque is increased from 155lb ft @4000rpm(Stock)to 184lb ft @3600rpm. And probably more when they finish their exhaust manifold. I don't know of any higher than this at present.
The JCWorks S uses larger valve cylinder head plus similar mods to induction and Kompressor so might produce more torque?? I don't know.
Not sure about the cams, I know Piper have produced cams for the One/Cooper.

Cool

in general if hp goes up then torque goes up, unless you raise the redline then you get 180-hp toyota matrix's that can't get out of their own way.
