magnaflow for MC?

Does anyone have the magnaflow exhaust installed on a MC? What does the MC exhaust sound like? What are the hp gains for the MC? I would greatly appreciate anyones feedback on the exhaust. Thanks in advance.

There is a MINI tuner in Colorado named Randy who swears by the Magnaflow exhaust. His site is www.mini-motorsport.com

I've been over to Randy's (mini cooper motorsports) for an open house to hear and see the magnaflow, borla, and quicksilver side by side on MCS's--but not on a MC.

Until this summer, I would like to find numbers on the power gains. Secondly, I want to assure that the exhaust note is nice and deep rather that obnoxious-poorly-modded-honda-leaf-blower sound. I already have a monster intake that has given a very nice throaty growl and I wonder if this combination will be too loud.

So, anyone got a magnaflow installed? Dynoed? Sound clips?

Duke: Of topic: I was in Las Vegas for New Years and saw only a couple MINI's. A yellow and a black. Not many there--except for the rentals in the exotic car section--too funny. Any idea what they're charging for rentals?

Check my web site @ www.mcshp.org Sound and pictures galore. I also have a system on my car. Power is nice around 12hp at the wheels. Doing more dyno runs in a few weeks.

i have installed one magnaflow system on a MINI S and the customer was very pleased.we have also installed the borla systems and by far it beat the super srint system. If i was to buy a system it would be the magna or the borla NOT the super sprint(SUPER JUNK !).there is no cutting nor any mods to your car to fitt the borla or magna.they are the best systems i have seen so far

I think now that he was asking about the MC not the MCS.

I've been to www.mcshp.org several times--great site!

I am interested in the magnaflow for the MC(no S). I will have an S someday...but I didn't have to wait when my previous car was nearing its end in April 02. So I'm doing minor things to the cooper to get my kicks.

So...anyone with a magnaflow on a MC(no S)?

magnaflow

I have magnaflow on 1988M3. It is very boomy on light throttle or off throttle, coasting down. It is irritating for more than 10 minutes. I don't have experience with it on cooper or S but it would be wise to personally hear it from inside the car.
