Hey amigo HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLL NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! to much work and quite expensive on only LABOR lets say $50 an hour for 5 hours thats $250 plus pulley. BRAVO ZULU for you amigo, you need to upgrade ECU and honestly speaking you'll have over 30 hp on wheels alone

Name another mod that would give you 30 HP for $300. That $500+ stainless exhaust sure wont.

Sorry to say but my pulley upgrade has cost me WAY more than that to get done. I took my MCS to a high performance BMW shop (without instructions..hint hint MINI MANIA) and it took a total of 15 hours along with dynos before and after to complete this job.
Good Luck!

I was actually interested in looking at that page, but it's shagged.

ie 6 and netscape 7 give me that ^^^ and opera and netscape 4.7 don't show me anything.

Never mind.

Weird. I'm having no problems anywhere else. Just I am getting an S in March and was interested to see, but I've got some people to see and talk to soon anyway who can show me the ins and outs of that kind of mod.

Thanks for a great link. What a monster job!!!!!

The price of the Hartge upgrade now seems fully justified.

Cooper S BRG/B, Chili, DSC, Overheated seats, auto A/C, OBC, heated mirrors/jets, Boost + CD. delivered 24.09.02 (ordered 11.09.01). MAX tint on back 3 windows. 17" S-Lites with Dunlop summer run-flats. 16" X-Lites with Goodyear Ultra Grip run-flats for winter. Remus exhaust (LOUD !).

Silver, who said 30HP let alone at the wheels?? Maybe with a ECU update if thats what you are referring to.

It doesn't rip the tires off though. In all honesty, I was a little dissapointed. It is definitely the fastest S I have driven to date, but it doesn't feel like a 30 hp gain - more like 10 or 15 (which is still noticable).

So, that's $250 for labor and let's say $200 for the pulley. That's a total of $450. That is a full $300 less expensive that your upgraded ECU at $750 (which makes it 66% more expensive). With the pulley you will get about the same amount of power as is claimed by Evotech. And for a lot less cold, hard cash.
