The superchip subject always seems to come up in the forums every now & then. Basic the MINI COOPER & ONE have more BHP that the offical figures qouted by BMW. Thies is down to the altitude that the car were tested @ to get their power figures. Although I like the sound of a SUPERCHIP there are a number of pro's & con's of having such an item fitted

Increased Insurance Premium
Fuel Consumption Goes down
etc etc

Plus the fact that you cant tell the difference between a car that has the superchip & a car that doesnt when the cars are parked side-by-side

Thumbs up

I've had the Superchip fitted and am very pleased with the result. You still have the smoothness of the original setup but with the extra power and especially the torque, the car just feels that much more capable. Superchips dyno tested the car at 130bhp and 126lbsft which seems a bit higher than I expected. At £265 all in it seems to have been money well spent.

If you've not done so already, check the news section and my (exclusive) reports on the SuperChips work, only reviewed the One though...
