Intake Clips

how do you take the clip that holds the tubing to the intake filter box?

Thanks

You can also use a flat-bladed screwdriver and slip it in there to separate the joint. If you're lucky you can reuse the band. Otherwise you'll need to buy a new one (no idea on cost).

From what Dan the mechanic at Flow MINI was saying, you need a special set of pliers to get it back together.

As Obehave mentioned, these (Otiker) clamps are destroyed in the removal process. Replacing with reusable high-quality stainless hose clamps works very nicely.

I have spent some time with it, and have found a way to both take off, and reclamp with out breaking the clips, using a flat head screw driver, and a pair of pliers.. To take off, Just pry up in the little gap under the locking portion and it wall snap up, and didn't break for me..

now to put back up, take the flat head ,and put it under the locking clip, to hold it away from the lower band, then squeeze the to parts of the band togetherm and slowly pull the screwdriver out, and it should snap into place..

I wouldn't trust a re-attached Otiker clamp. Just buy some nice stainless screw-type hose clamps.

The clamp i bought was too wide to fit in the stock tubing's groove so I used a nice high temp zip tie. There is a ghetto solution to everything!
