Offline | superchips Have many people on here fitted a superchip or similar to their cooper? The one on newminisport.com claims a 15 bhp increase - how much difference will this make to the feel of the car? Are there other ways of getting more for similar money? |

Offline | Hello, I see you're a new member, so probably not experienced in the value of the 'search' button. If you try a search for superchip* (including the star) you will many threads on this subject, mostly in the performance and tuning section. Good luck! Offline | Most of it does relate to the MINI One, purely because more people get the One Chipped than the Cooper, due to the bigger performance boost. A chipped Cooper will not be the kind of 'jump' but you should feel the difference. I'm not sure if anyone has recent;y had a Cooper chipped or not!? There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

Offline | Well consider the MINI ONE and MINI COOPER have virtually exactly the same spec engine, the only real difference between the ONE performance and COOPER performance, is the ECU. When the ONE came out I read on a web site who make performance chips that they safely chipped a ONE to 10BHP more than a COOPER but they could only get another 12BHP safely from a COOPER which made them thing the engines are the same and the ECU is the only performance difference between the cars. Offline | In engine terms it is the only difference. We broke the story on SuperChips here before anyone else anywhere, so you may have read that here. They downloaded the two programmes, compared, changed the one to match the Cooper, and Voila, their stage 1 chip tune was done. Then they added a little to that, and voila, tuning for the Cooper, or 'stage 2' tuning for the One. ![]() There aint no party like my nana's tea party |
