Offline | The line from my dealer was that if I brought the car in with the induction kit on it.... they wouldn't touch it! Just replace the airbox before you go. Also put a gaffer tape patch on the bonnet lining directly above the filter to avoid suction damage and noone will be any the wiser. ![]() McMINI Adventuring across Scotland |

Offline | Went to a new car clinic at my local BMW/Mini dealer. A response to that question was "any part not produced or reconqized by BMW/MINI is not covered" Meaning he added "unless the unauthorized part caused a Reconqized part to fail its covered by the warrenty" and example he used i believe was if I put a new head on mine and next week the mains blew out of the block. Unless it can be deteremind that the new head and over reving the car cause the failure then its covered by the warrenty. Also from what ive heard on this board it also depends on the dealer and the guy who writes it up Tony 02 MCS DS/W (Totaled November 02 on Fall Folage Run) 03 MCS DS/W (See my MINI Profie for extensive list of mods) |

Offline | Hey people, i would reply with some information but it looks like everyone's done it for me! cheers! And next service i will just be changing back to stock. The piperX did cause light damage so i will be using some gaffer tape this time round. Thanks for the info on that Monsta Mo Mini! Tom. |

Offline | I'm leaving the idea of an induction kit for the moment. It's one of the things my dealer mentioned by name as something that would invalidate my warranty. Just ordered a K&N drop in filter though, so at least I can feel that I've done something. ![]() |
