Question Big Brakes vs. DSC/ABS?

Do the big brake kits still allow the use of ABS and or DSC?

I'm very interested in installing one of the big brake kits on the market. I'll looking to have some fun on track days without having to worry about brake fade, etc. after a hard day's use.

However, since my wife will still be using the car for daily driving, I want to make sure what the effects on the ABS and DSC will be before plunging headfirst into the project.

Other options include 1) Keeping the stock system and swapping out race pads for street pads... and replacing stock rotors on a much more frequent basis. 2) Upgrading to the big setup (and again swapping pad material depending on use) and kissing electronic aids goodbye.

Curious,
Steve

Why fit a big brake kit, there is no need too IMO...

I have done quite a few trackdays in my car, and granted the standard brakes are pretty poor...

However I fitted some mintex 1144 fast road / track pads with some EBC slotted discs and havent had a problem since..

Mine has around 220hp at the moment and havent had a problem since I moded the brakes..

I'd do a pad / dics change before shelling out lots of money on a big brake conversion..

I drove a Digi-Tec moded car with the Brembo GTs and the braking was amazing. My car on the Nurburgring had no brakes left after 1 lap.

Did you do all 4 or just the fronts?
