Offline | Most are saying that there's about 11-12% driveline loss, which puts your crank hp at 202-204. I Don't know what you were promised initially, and so won't pass judgment. Sounds like fun to me. Jeff |

| MINI2 Master | Good result if you ask me! You paid what £1200? My last dyno as you know came in at 188 bhp at the fly!!! How much did I pay?!!! Next one due on Saturday so I can compare. A non-ecu'd Hartge on that day made 190 and an ecu'd one made 195 (both at the fly). What was your torque? Mine was 225 Nm at the fly. ![]() |

Offline | Agreed! Wheel hp is what we all want. It's what we can get to the ground that matters, right? Our driveline loss in more on the minimal side, from what I've read. I'm curious to know if the install of an LSD would then help on a dyno. I realize it's impact in the real world, but on a dyno, I don't know. And with that, other mods that don't increase power per se, but make for more to be availble at the wheels, like a lightened flywheel. Does a dyno see these as an increase in power? I'm going to guess maybe not on the first, and probably yes on the later... '03 (9.6.02) MCS IB/W Lapis Blue Leather Mission = 10:1 (Weight:HP) |

| MINI2 Master | I don't want to hijack Max's thread but here is a link to my dyno results from May: Works Cooper S Dyno Results Worked out using DIN hp as 188 bhp and 163 ftlbs torque at the fly and 153 bhp (from the chart) and about 133 ftlbs (worked out using the bhp percentage) at the wheels. Which according to the figures is about a 23% loss. Take these results for what they are worth, there is another dyno day coming up on Saturday, so we'll see how good these figures are. ![]() |

Offline | That's a real nice drive you have there Max, really appreciate it! The gears were really smooth - which lends me to thinking mine are quite clunky in comparison (Standard S to everybody that doesn't know)... any quick thoughts on this after todays drive - have your gears always felt smooth - pre conversion? The reason I ask is that the dealer told me my gears would loosen up once the car had run in and 9,500 miles later - the gears make quite a solid noise when placing... All I could hear in your car was the 'Screaming Whine' from the supercharger which has got me feeling hooked!! > > Maybe I was still euphoric from the factory visit!? Now that you have got me thinking beyond 'Happy standard Cooper S driver' mentality - do you fancy lending me your car for a week? (Exactly what I said to my brother as I was pulling up after the run) ![]() ![]() |
