DIY Installing Nology's need some Help

Found some at a local Sports Shop that actually had the part# for the Mini and the prices was fair. I did several searchs on the nology wires and saw where Randy uses them and mentioned that its important to gound 1&2 to the Pas. side of the intercooler block and 3&4 to the drivers side of the intercooler block, but being a novice, I need some Pic and assistance on which wire's are 1,2,3 &4 & the actual spot on the intercooler where to attach the wires.

If anyone has these installed via Randy's instructions, or Randy can send me a quick picture of the nology wires installed on his car or a car so I dont mess this up and fry my electrical system I would very much be appreciated.

Thanks in Advance for any help.
Kent

Installation is simple. Just make sure you replace one wire at a time so you don't mix them up.

Simply give the factory wires a gentle pull and they should disconnect from the plug. When you plug in the nology, make sure its in all the way.

We placed the grounding strap between the intercooler bracket and cast manifold for better electrical contact, the bracket is 'coated'so it seemed better than placing the grounds on 'top of' the bracket.

Good luck!

Thanks, BMP bar Removal

Ok, thanks, I have a second issue I can not seem to get
the BMP bar off, it was installed, I think the part
that comes off is by the intake and it lifts up, however
I dont know if I use an allen rench and which way do
I turn etc.. to get the bar up, to get to the wires
that are under the bar. Please help, I am attaching
a pic of under my bonnett. thanks, Kent

I am just an interested bystander, are these cosmetic improvements or do they improve performance any?

some say the bar helps, its seem stiffer when using on and off ramps, the rear sway bar you feel a diff also, only in hard turns. the bmp intake is a HP impovment, 5 to 9, I am going to put some holes in the back wall to allow more
cold air for the intake, several have dont this and notice
an improvment, I like the bar's looks also, its nice to
open the bonnett and see their eyes light up.

Darxar, you need to remove the nuts on top of the strut tower, they're the three nuts on top of each strut. I've highlighted them in your picture here...(click on the thumbnail)

Take all six nuts off(3 and 3) of the strut tower and remove the strut tower brace to get access to the plug wires. Then just put them back on in reverse order to re-install them. Don't worry nothing with fall apart while you have the nuts taken off . Hope this helps!

Just try real hard not to lose those nuts when taking them off, as they're really easy to drop in the engine bay. I lost one when putting my H&R springs on, it's a real pain in the butt to drive to the store to buy a $.25 nut.

Well, after speaking with RSpeed (who installed the bar) all I had to do was losen the pre-tension nut, then on the pass.side remove the allen bolt and only losen up the one on the drivers side, then raise the bar up from the pass.side and I had about all the room I needed, but the
wires did not come today, maybe tomorrow, so this should be pretty quick. I am also going to mod the back wall
to help my bmp intake, so I found an old plate of sheet metal to put behind to protect the break lines, going to use a dremal to cut some squares out to allow more air. I saw other posts where Randy cut Holes, I just want to be different, will post pic's wed night if all goes well.

Got them installed, pic in the morning, it was a snap with all the help, thanks everyone. the idle seems a bit higher and the gas seems more responsive, not like I have 20 extra HP, but I feel a diff going thru the gears, I am
happy, plus the look so cool!

Its seems different, I can not put my finger on it, but
I do notice a change. Thanks everyone for all the help

DIY Nology Hotwires + M7 Plasma Booster

Just installed the Nology Hotwires and the M7 Plasms Booster, man what a difference. I had not anticipated the improvement would be as dramatic, especially at WOT. Above 3200 rpm's they just roar! I wonder if my Mercedes ML55 and Porsche 911 would enjoy the same improvement?
