Rear Brake caliper Tool?

Im going to install a new set of rear pads...I have decided to try out the mintex. but before I start the process I want to know what the correct tool is to turn and push the rear caliper pistons home?

I have a cube which fits a socket wrench and has various pin configurations...Is this the same tool? is had force and turning enough or do you need more force?

So no one has changed their own brake pads? I would have thought this would have been an easy answer?

i used a big screwdriver to turn and push the piston in and it took a bit of force.

yes, as I recall...did it over 6 months ago. I also had the calipers off of the vehicle, (I was fitting larger rotors with caliper spacers) so i could hold them in a vise, but you can do it on the car.

How about a C-clamp?

Look about 1/2 way down...

I went and actually bought the tool from Mini/BMW. $150
Friggen Highway robbery considering they tried to tell me I would have to come to the dealer everytime I wanted the brake pads changed. I told them I wasn't playing that game and there were laws preventing them from doing exactly that. Guess that's why they screwdrivered me with the price.
Anyway, found outthis is the same tool once used on the BMW 3 series and can be found in some autoparts stores. System has a long screw which attaches to a small cylinder with 4 nubs to fit the indentations in the caliper piston. further up on the bolt is a piece that looks somewhat like a brake pad that slides into place on the caliper. This provides pressure as your screwing the caliper piston in. Be careful not to go too far in as you can tear the rubber boot on the piston.

A C-Clamp works perfectly. I uesed it when replacing my rear brake to the green stuff pads. It put pressure on, and turned the calipers all at the same time... sure as heck beats 150 for the "Real" tool

Thanks
