Jackson Racing Header?

Looks like yet another player in the header game:

Quote:
GOLETA, CA - The MINI is basically an overgrown, street-legal go-kart. Now the car is even more fun thanks to a new Race Header, developed exclusively for Moss Motors by the sport-compact performance specialists at Jackson Racing. This system is designed to be the best header value on the market, combining top-caliber construction and a three-piece design for easy installation. Dyno-testing revealed a 7.5-HP drive-wheel increase on a Cooper S. This three-phased header is manufactured by Jardine Performance, incorporating the same technology the company uses for its Honda Superbike exhausts. Each MINI header begins with U.S.-sourced T-304 stainless steel, chosen for the high chromium content that makes it the most corrosion-resistant stock available. Flanges are CNC-machined - not flame-cut - from 3/8"-thick stainless steel for warp-resistance. To scavenge the combustion chambers efficiently, the header's primary tubes step up three times in diameter before meeting at the true merge-style collector: The system's header and intermediate pipes receive a brushed finish, and the three-piece design makes it extremely installer-friendly. Applications are available for both the MINI Cooper and Cooper S. (Because installation requires removing the catalytic converter, this system is intended for competition vehicles that aren't subject to emissions testing.) For more information, visit www.mossmini.com or contact Moss Motors, Dept. ____, 440 Rutherford St., Goleta, CA 93117. Phone: 805-681-3411, Fax: 805-692-2525, Email: parts@mossmotors.com.

A few questions

On the Jackson system, what is flexing?? To deal with engine torque???

On the others with built in cats, are they ceramic or Metallic?

What is the outlet diameter, and if it is larger than stock, do they offer the system after with larger tubing?

On the last photo, Do you think she would want to jump ship and join the Supersprint team??

My mini is bigger than yours ...

The interesting differance between the Jackson item and all the rest is the " step up " in pipe sizes . This trick has been around a long time and does make a differance in many applications. Can't wait to see what it does for the mini .

You'll have to forgive her, at that age they are so innocent and they just don't understand! If she were part of the Supersprint team she would quickly learn that the tri "Y" design of the Supersprint headers offers a wide torque power band, rather than the more peaky power band of the 4 into 1 header design.

If performance exhaust systems were just a matter of welding pipes, we would all be doing our own!

A try "Y" header is 9 times out of 10 what will put a smile on the face of most enthusiast looking form more low end and mid-range grunt.
Still as far as 4 into 1s the stock piece does not look all that bad?

So what's the story with no cat for the Jackson system? Do they leave you room (doesn't look like it) keep the existing cat?

The pics for the Mini-Mania are odd. One 4-1 and one 4-2-1. Is that just the angle of the photo?

easy deal

The header went on very easily and took less than a hour. The hardest part is getting the old one off. If you leave the last piece of pipe off you could work a high performance aftermarket cat in if you wanted. There is pleanty of room before the exhaust system starts. If you go to my site and then to the " events " page and then " mods and upgrades " I have several pics of the new and old systems and the unit in place. I also instaleld the new Borla sport/race exhaust system and the sound is like nothing i have ever heard before. In the high RPM range is is like a combination of race bike and ferrari only LOUDER
